WMG is teaming with The Sandbox to build a “combination musical theme park and concert venue” in the metaverse, and hoping fans will want to buy virtual real estate next door. At the very least it sounds a lot better than living right next door to a concert venue in real life.

Even though Google Glass went the way of Crystal Pepsi, the tech behemoth is jumping back into the headset wars and is working on an AR headset, dubbed Project Iris, that they hope to ship by 2024. Google’s playing catch-up here compared to Meta and Apple, but don’t count them out.
